Yes, well behaved dogs are always welcomed at Happy Tails. Please always pick up after your dog and place the poop bags in the garbage bin behind the garage.

Besides dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, we are providing coffee for all 3 machines. If you have a specific preference, please bring your own. We are also providing various teas, basic spices, cooking oil, sugar, paper towels.

Dish soap, laundry detergent and hand soap is provided. Shampoo is not provided.

Yes, we have well water that is filtered and UV treated, as well as periodically tested.

What is the water access like?

Shallow without any steep drops. It is slightly silty, so some people may prefer to bring water shoes. For easy swimming access, there is a ladder attached to the end of the dock.

How much cleaning do we have to do prior to leaving?

The dishwasher should be loaded and turned on. Dishwasher pods are under the sink. House to be left in broom swept condition. Linens and towels can be left as is - this is included in the cleaning fee.

We are providing garbage and recycling bags. Please place the bags in their designated bins behind the garage. Do not leave any garbage outside at any time to avoid wildlife interference.

The cottage is accessible year round. It’s located on a municipally maintained road. 4 wheel drive is recommended in the winter.

How close is the nearest hospital? Grocery store?

The closest hospital is in Napanee, approximately 45 minutes away. Grocery store, LCBO, hardware store and pharmacy are available in Tamworth, approximately 20 minutes away. A smaller convenience store and gas station is available in Arden, approximately 15 minutes away.

3 fridges (1 in the kitchen, 2 in the pantry), 1 microwave, 1 dishwasher, 1 48” propane stove, 1 undercounter beverage fridge, Jura, Nespresso and Drip coffee machines, toaster, kettle, blender, mixer, 1 crock pot, 2 washers, 2 dryers.

We want to bring our own boat. Is there a marina nearby where we can launch it? Do you have a dock?
